At the December 2024 board meeting, board President Seth Green, PhD appointed Dr. Burket to serve as President-Elect when she agreed to serve in that officer position after Hannah Ekstrom, PsyD stepped down last October.

Dr. Burket is a lifelong resident of Alaska and a licensed clinical psychologist from Fairbanks. She joined the board in 2023 in a Member at Large position and has contributed to board conversations as well as volunteering during the AK-PA Annual Meeting last fall.  More about Dr. Burket can be found on our Board of Directors page at this link: https://www.ak-pa.org/about/board-of-directors/

Dr. Burket will serve in the President-Elect position until the Board Elections this coming May. AK-PA members in good standing can nominate or self-nominate themselves for an officer or Member at Large position during the election. Current bylaws state that officers serve two years. However, there will be a review of the bylaws to change the officer terms to one year.
