The Board of Directors of the Alaska Psychological Association meets the second (2nd) Wednesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, December through May. Board meetings are not held summer months of June, July, and August. The board meets for new board member orientation and planning September through November.
AK-PA members are always welcome at these meetings by emailing our Executive Director for a Zoom link the Monday before the meeting. AK-PA members are welcome to attend and listen to the agenda items. Participation in any discussions will be by invitation of a board member.
Requests to address a practice issue
AK-PA welcomes any psychology practice issues that members or non-members may wish to bring to the attention of the board of directors to address and consider. An issue should be emailed to the Executive Director (executivedirector@ak-pa.org) at least two weeks before the next board meeting. The request should include any specific requests and attachments to help the board understand the issue. This will allow the board time to review the information in advance and be prepared to discuss it at the board meeting. The board’s response to the request will also be sent back by email.
Please note that practice regulation issues should be addressed with the Board of Psychologist and Psychological Associate Examiners.
